Allan, Like you, my PBH is 85 cm, though I'm an inch shorter than you at 5'-8.5". I used to ride a 56cm Trek 760, which always felt a little cramped. I now divide my time between a 60.5cm Riv custom and a 59cm Bleriot. (or is it 58? I forget.) I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a 59 or 60 to test ride in Portland, and I'd be more surprised if you didn't love it almost immediately.
