So no big tour this year but I did get in a 3 day ride in Gifford Pinchot NF with my friend and coworker John. The first two days of the trip basically retraced last year's Gifford excursion with exception of much better weather. On the third day we dropped down from Lake Takhlakh to Trout Lake where we turned West and took two FS Rds (60 and 65) back to Carson and then Hwy 14 back to Stevenson where John's car was parked.
I rode my Hilsen which was okay but required attention when reaching for a bottle or changing gears as it could easily get quite wobbly. Oh, and on the first day, heading towards the base of Old Man Pass a couple passed by us and one of them was riding a large Bombadil. They were the only other cyclist we saw on the trip.
