I just built up the Fargo (65 mm Big Apples, Noodle, drivetrain from the Sam Hill, Cane Creek V brake levers for the Mountain BB7s, Turbo, old M540s, Tubus Logo -- and it feels very, very nice. The Fargo has more room for 65s and fenders than my Monocog 29er -- room left over for mud, too. I noticed that, on one bike forum, a participant on the Great Divide ride this year chose a Fargo over a Bombadil prototype. So I am curious:
How does the Fargo compare with the three Rivendells for (1) 65 mm tires -- that's what my BAs measure of 45 mm rims -- and off road riding. (2) for touring. (3) for knock about allrounder, dirt biased all terrain riding.
