It is truly a great looking frame design. The announcement of the
weight provoked me to go weigh my 56cm Bomba. I took off the
waterbottle/pump and seatbag. It weighs 30.5lbs, which I think is
pretty good. If I wanted to strip it down for weight, I'd pull the
front and rear racks and swap out the Brooks saddle, and it would be
down below 28lbs. That's not bad for a bike of the apocalypse.

I'm a little surprised that nobody has said they hate it or that it's
ugly. Maybe the group has weeded out the voices of dissent. I
expected somebody to gripe that the additional tubes were overkill on
an already overbuilt bike. I wonder if now the gripers will return
their focus to the Hunqapillar and call it half-baked since it doesn't
have the stays. We'll see. My gripes about the new Bomba are
nitpicking things. Dark green bikes bore me, but that's obviously a
trivial detail. I'm also not crazy about the new downtube decal. The
'M' with the 'x' in it is great, but the 'B's' are not strong. It's
kind of a shame that the gorgeous head badge no longer matches the
font of the decal. Maybe they'll spin a new headbadge, hopefully with
a creature, not centered on the new 'B'. I prefer the original decal
font, but people won't be looking at the decal as much as the frame
design.

I wonder what the 52 and 48 will look like.
