I have a need to get out for a looong ride and would like company. I'm
considering doing the Amtrak Century route (Irvine to San Diego) this Monday.
It's relatively flat and winds are generally agreeable. This will not be a stop
and smell the flowers ride, but there will be stops to re-fuel, maybe a small
meal or coffee stop or both. Generally, no lollygagging. I don't want to kill
myself speed-wise, but 16-17mph average on the bike would seem do-able given
the route. Anyone interested? Please, email me nad we'll work out the details.
I would think a very civil 9-10AM departure time would work.
