When I placed my order for a pair of Symmetry II shoes, I got an email back
saying that these run a tad smaller than the original Symmetry shoes I
ordered last year, and suggesting I move up a size. That's pretty attentive
service from anyone, let alone someone closing up shop. I took the advice
and the fit of the new shoes is good.

I got the same message when I ordered two more pair. On their advice I
changed 10.5 to 11. I agree about the service; they're GOOB and have a
strict no refund/exchange policy, so they could've just taken my money and
set me useless shoes, but they didn't. Now I have enough Vitruvians to last
another decade or more. My second pair is still in casual service, and my
first pair serve as lawn-mowing shoes.

Sorry to see them go. In my view, they may be closing the doors, but they
did not fail.

RBW content: I first heard of Vitruvian through a recommendation by Grant
Petersen at Rivendell, and the shoes definitely fit my understanding of The
Rivendell Way.
