Wow, I finally made it! About four years ago I first saw an AHH, and I lusted for it. I ended up cheaping out a bit and buying a new Ram that showed up on ebay. Hardly cheaping out, I know, but the complete bike was only about $100 more than the AHH frame. This time, I found the frame locally (thanks Don!) and just had it built up with a hodge- podge of parts that keeps it real, but also kept it cheap. I'll have time to upgrade this and that later. Whether I will like this bike more than my Big Dummy is an open question (but also an apples and oranges comparison). Anyway, I love it - and thanks to this list for all the helpful advice. I'll post some pics soon.
That said, I need a new cheap headlight. I'll put a generator hub and a light on it someday, but for now - money must be saved. I tried to put on my Planet Bike light but it wouldn't fit around the moustache bars, the cable which runs under the tape, and some pretty thick leather tape. If any of you have been through this issue - what light did you settle on? Something under $30 ideally.
