I made a watch strap. I had an old nato strap that came apart years ago but I saved all the hardware. Cleaning out my desk drawer I found it again. Curious if I had any webbing laying around to remake it, I had the brain fart of checking out the width of the irish straps. Bingo! It was the perfect 18mm width. I pulled out the sewing machine and cobbled it together. My plan is to use it on the Mondaine RR watch I plan to buy with my dividend...hopefully they will still be carrying them by then. Till then it resides on my old Timex Auto. Unfortunately it needs a service.
