Yes, an AHH and a Bombadil would cover everything. I've used my AHH for brevets, fast road rides, gravel road grinder, toured on it for a week and have even taken it on single track where the main problem seems to be the lowish BB height. I felt like it has shined best as a brevet bike and for long mixed terrain rides. I feel there's a little bit of redundancy between the Ram and AHH. I'm about to put moustache bars on the Ram and see how I like it but if it doesn't work for me then I'll definitely sell it and use the money towards a SH or something a little more tour worthy. As I type this there's a 64cm Atlantis for sale on the list but I just can't swing it right now and I'm not motivated to sell the Rambouillet just yet. I'll probably kick myself but oh well. After an S240 next week and a little two night venture into Gifford Pinchot NF later in Sept my touring and S24Oing will be over with for the year.
To the OP, let us know what you decide. It doesn't sound like you have any big tours planned so maybe consider getting a SH (single TT Taiwanese model) or an AHH, ride it for a while and make your decision about a touring bike from there. --mike On Aug 26, 1:03 pm, "cyclotour...@gmail.com" <cyclotour...@gmail.com> wrote: > This is a great option!
