I hope I'm not being too dense but I still don't understand the last- minute bidding game. If you've got a personal limit of what you are willing to pay for the item and you bid that amount for starters, you won't ever pay more and you may pay a lot less depending on other bidding. Why wait to the last 20 seconds or resort to programs for slipping in bids at the last minute? Is it because another bidder can figure out what your maximum bid is and then cut in at the last moment with $2 more? GeorgeS
