ps - since I've been swapping freewheels around, I made a chain hanger on rear rack boss using an M5 stack.

The fasteners were left over from my bag tail-lamp mount.

Thanks Russell,
My Mercian gets thumbs-up from drivers, my Lenton starts conversations at bike stops, but purple RoadUno gets both, plus driv ers rolling down their window to ask me about it.
When I noticed all the benches along Leon Creek Greenway were painted to match, had to stop for a photo.

An A-1 looking Roaduno. I love that shade of purple. It reminds me of a mid-1980s Masi 3V that my brother owns. I've always wanted a bicycle that color purple.

Thanks Dan,
RoadUno has the prettiest fork crown I've ever seen.
The bike kind of incorporates my favorite features from each of my other bikes.

When I built my Viner CX frame upright, it had no bosses for anything, and I used Mark's rack with Tubus fork clamps and Paul canti rack bolts (+ L-brackets).

On RoadUno, the bent stays from fork crown bosses give me plenty of clearance for access to Paul Racer straddle cable and quick front wheel removal.

Thank you for your research! The Melvin looks so cool it's great to hear you figured out how to use it.
I came here to say also how rare it is to see a front rack mounted using the fork crown mounts. Looks great!

ps - White Standard Engagement freewheels are 3-pawl, and High Engagement freewheels are 6-pawl.

White uses two freewheel-cog teeth profiles, Standard 36-pt, 10-degree; and High Engagement 72-pt, 5-degree.
All of their 16t freewheels are only available in Standard engagement (Lynette explained this was limited by their cartridge bearing).
Lynette sent me a 17-t High Engagement freewheel to try, and the result was no slip, and here's why:
White Standard Engagement cog-tooth height is only 7.2 mm - two that didn't slip the chain are Shimano 8.1 mm, and White High Engagement, 9.3 mm cog-tooth height.
