Regarding B17 & B67; prior to getting my Clem my only experience with a leather saddle was the Ideale that came with my PX10 - in 1976! Hated it. When I got the Clem I immediately installed the best saddle I’d ever owned, a SQ LABS. It was good but just did not look right. I did not want a B17 due to my experience with the Ideale. So I picked up a slightly used B67. I was pretty great but not until I got the NOSE UP! This of course violated all of my preconceived notions just like everything else about the Clem.
But, the B67 was a boat anchor. So when I kind of inherited a gently used B17 I reluctantly gave it a try. After a few adjustments & with the nose appropriately high it was immediately the most comfortable I’d ever been on a bike saddle. Yes, it disappeared. So, when I got my Gus I finally got a brand new B17 & it was immediately as comfortable as the other - no break in required. I remember Jim(?) from Analog Cycles claim that a properly adjusted B17 is comfortable out of the box. NOSE UP!! YRMV.:)

looking at the wavie bars, those look to be more of a flat bar with less sweep than billie or albatross, right? if so, that would be make sense that your riding posture if more 60 or 45 degree, and more suitable for the B17, correct?

I have a Brooks B68 on my Clem. It took awhile to break in, but seems fine now. When I got my Charlie Gallop, it came with a Brooks B17 Carved because it was a Rivendell shop demo bike. I find this to be very comfortable - more so than the B68. But the riding position is different. The Clem has Billie bars and the Charlie has Wavie bars. Every butt is different!
