| Regarding B17 & B67; prior to getting my Clem my only experience with a leather saddle was the Ideale that came with my PX10 - in 1976! Hated it. When I got the Clem I immediately installed the best saddle I’d ever owned, a SQ LABS. It was good but just did not look right. I did not want a B17 due to my experience with the Ideale. So I picked up a slightly used B67. I was pretty great but not until I got the NOSE UP! This of course violated all of my preconceived notions just like everything else about the Clem. But, the B67 was a boat anchor. So when I kind of inherited a gently used B17 I reluctantly gave it a try. After a few adjustments & with the nose appropriately high it was immediately the most comfortable I’d ever been on a bike saddle. Yes, it disappeared. So, when I got my Gus I finally got a brand new B17 & it was immediately as comfortable as the other - no break in required. I remember Jim(?) from Analog Cycles claim that a properly adjusted B17 is comfortable out of the box. NOSE UP!! YRMV.:)
