>Rob in Seattle Hey Rob, I'll send you a list of the gear in my kit. Its not my lightest kit, but one that emphsizes a bit more comfort on such a long tour. Ultralight gear is great for S24O's! Or 9,000 mile rides. It makes the use of saddlebags, baskets and even ordinary stuffsacks lashed to lighter top load racks a viable alternative to the standard "fully loaded touring" way. And lighter loads mean you don't need a full on touring bike. Check out Igor Kovse's site Losing Weight at ultralightcycling.blogspot.comto see a example of this philosophy taken to the bleeding edge in some pretty remote corners of the globe. After looking at his setup, you may start to consider a Roadeo as a viable third-world touring machine Greg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
