That's great. Last year at the 5 boros ride, my brother and I were riding together wearing matching plaid shirts. I don't think we planned it that way - we both started with other outer layers. I random rider we passed said something like "you guys must do tweed rides." I don't think he meant it as a dig, but it gave me pause.
