I, like you, am curious to find out about the OM-1 derailer specifications. Grant says in his latest blog entry that a he’d like a potential future OM-2 derailer to shift to 42T, so I guess we can infer that the soon to be released OM-1 won’t shift up to that.
I was hoping the OM-1 to be similar, specs-wise, to the Acera M3020 that is so common in Riv’s standard builds. That one shifts up to 40T and has a 45T total capacity, and Russ from Path Less Pedaled has succesfully tested it with a 42T cassette, so it can give you a very wide gear range and a very low granny gear.
