It was fun to see you pedaling around my neck of the woods. Hope you got a chance to gain some elevation on the China Camp Trails. 30 minutes of climbing should put you about here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclofiend/4533493801/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclofiend/238919279/ As far as the route through southern marin county, I'd nudge you a little west once you hit the end of the Mill Valley bike path - you went over Horse Hill by the freeway and then looped around East Sir Francis Drake. That section by San Quentin Prison can be a little hairy, especially crossing over to pick up Anderson (the descent by the sewage treatment plant, which has its own "charm"), which is in turn fairly industrial. You can pick up Camino Alto (or turn left on Tamalpais Ave if you use the Horse Hill option) and end up on Magnolia Ave. Follow that, or there's a separated bike path on the old rail route you can follow to Kentfield, then head through Ross and San Anselmo into San Rafael, where you can get back to looping around Peacock Gap/China Camp Village on the way to the campground. Wow, I think that's the most geo-centric post I've made to the group... - Jim "Still trying to figure out how you routed from there to Davis..." -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes Gallery updates now appear here - http://cyclofiend.blogspot.com "'You both ride your bike?'
