This will be my ninth RABRAI and I have gone back and forth between my 60 TT Sam Hillborne, and a 62 Waterford Atlantis...both wonderful rides. RAGBRAI is NOT a race. I describe it as a 'weeklong rolling block party' with 10 - 15thousand other riders enjoying the hospitality of the pass-through towns and overnight stops with entertainment and food options everywhere. There are SO many ways to experience this ride. I've ridden with a small team from Western PA a few times and we used Host Family's generosity to pitch tents in their yards and sometimes were offered floor space/beds and always had Bathroom access. This year I will use the PBV charter and have them set up a tent for me every night. Friends joining me this year with PBV are getting hotels every night (arranged by PBV) at an extra cost.
