@Dorothy, that is awesome regarding Blue Lug sale price. It's not as good in Europe. As a reference, both the Woods Cyclery and La Chouette charge 2300 EUR for the frame. That is roughly 2500 USD as per today's exchange rate (38% more expensive). I honestly don't know why the price increase is so great, considering they also get the frames shipped from Taiwan, so no tax or duties for importing from the US. Or rather, I honestly don't know how Blue Lug can keep sell them for roughly the same price as Riv does in the US.
Regarding @Bill's comment, do you/we think the New Yorker article has increased demand among 'wealthier' and 'trendier' users who may just buy a Rivendell 'cause they can, and looks pretty by today's standards of glorifying retro looking stuff?
