Riv used to sell the Wald Multi-fit basket <https://waldsports.com/store/front-baskets/198-multi-fit-basket/>. That's the basket I use. It opens up nearer the top and I think that's a good thing for a doggie. I customized some dowels to use as shade poles; a necessity in the East Bay. I've got some cushions on the bottom (think yoga mat) with a mini-leash across the top. There are also some hooks that allow for hanging off the side of a rack (Jandd), but on top is my preferred method. Overall I'm pretty satisfied.
