I’ve been fit three times and honestly Bo think it’s a waste of time and
money for anyone who isn’t a hardcore road rider or XC mountain bike rider.
If I went and got a fit this afternoon, I wouldn’t be able to ride over 10
miles with the resulting setup. The only thing that’s worked for me is
quite a bit of trial and error. I have a number of injuries and I really
have to spend time and money to get it right. I spent thousands of dollars
over the years on clipless pedal setups only to realize that all my knee
and foot numbness issues could be solved by flat pedals. I also ride swept
bars and I’ve yet to meet a fitter who knows how to deal with alternative
setups like that. The one exception to that is probably the guy who runs
analog cycles who has some interesting ideas on setup that I’ve used with
great results.
