My advice is to figure out a way to get onto the course EARLY. Certainly, if you get a ticket for early entry that would be great. But otherwise, just show up early and jump onto the course before the traffic builds. There is nothing worse than getting stuck in a bike traffic jam trying to get over the 59th Street bridge. This does not mean you have to ride faster in that most riders behind you are not riding fast.
