I do indeed plan to own the bike for the rest of my life, which rest is not that long since I am within a few months of 70. I’d much rather pay a few more $$ for a bb that I can install and forget than save a few $$. Remember, I have twice had to deal with creaks and clunks from a Stronglight (albeit with aftermarket cups) installed just a few hundred miles ago, and replaced a new Phil after fewer than 2K miles.
