Selling my Riv-adjacent Ibis after many years. I've finally admitted it does not fit me (I am 6'1"). The bike has been with me a long time, I'm the second owner, and it's
been awesome. It's been well-loved with some appropriate beausage on the newish paint.
For the unfamiliar, Ibis was once a NorCal handmade frame company that dealt in mostly steel frames built in Sonoma Co. The Hakkalugi was a
cyclocross bike, but unlike 'cross race bikes it can take a rear rack
and fenders and can fit 42mm tires. Maybe 45mm slicks. I
believe before the gravel category made these things mainstream, and
before Rivendell's hillibikes, this was considered a "mostercross"
bike. The geometry is quick and tight like a 'cross bike and the frame
is pretty light.
Disclosure: I cracked the frame once at the dropout and once at the bottom bracket, both on the drive-side chainstay. Both repairs were done professionally, once by Josh Muir of Frances Cycles (in 2010) and the second by a framebuilder in Austin TX (in 2018). I then re-painted the frame from it's original orange. You can allegedly get replacement stickers from Scot Nicol but I bought and paid for some over a year ago and they never came.
I'll ship it at buyer's expense or you can pick it up in or near Philadelphia.
