It's a totally conventional "road bike" by all contemporary "road bike" standards. At a 2024 "club ride", I can roll up on this and it'll be weird because it's steel, and lugged, and has cantilevers, and has fenders, but aside from that, it's a straight ahead "road bike". Also, I did not spec a Legolas fork. I spec'd a Legolas fork crown.
2. Why RH cantilevers instead of long reach side pulls. I decided on Rene Herse cantilevers on this bike because I felt like it (for several reasons). Me deciding to do that does not mean I think wide-mouth side pulls are inferior.
