No.  The energy in a lightning bolt is big enough that any conductor (the
carbon) or small gap (rubber sole between your foot and the wet ground) will
provide a path for lightning.  Remember it just jumped through air numerous
miles from the cloud to the ground.  Carbon in both graphite and fiber form
is conductive.  Less so than steel or aluminum, but still enough to be
concerned about.
