Yes. It's happened to me quite a few times. Turn it over and give it a few hardy taps on the rounded point where the magnetic bearing lie inside. It should then freely open. This has worked for me almost every time. If that doesn't work I'd recommend using some pliers, rather than a saw, to bend it open though it will then lose it's security.
