I concur. I use 48mm Noodles with brifters and have both the Medium and the Large versions. With the Large, I get a similar experience. It might be a minor hassle but not worth being concerned with. Obviously I have no issues whatsoever with the Medium. In terms of handling and overall feeling, I prefer the Medium hands down. With the large basket and large bag, the bike "feels" it.
