Joe, that is what I should have done - plug the hole and wait for it to seal. I
never thought it would with two big holes, but it did. I rode my Platypus 8
miles with my boys yesterday and it was perfect. Today I did a club ride - 27
miles with the girls and we tore it up out there. Not a single hiccup with
those wonderful tires. All sealed and whole once more.

Mike, so nice of you to make that offer. Let us know if anyone takes you up on
it, and I hope they do.

I had the best time today at the Women’s Ride. Perfect weather and the pace was
16-17 mph for 27 miles. We exceeded that quite often, but lost a few of the
riders consequently. Today’s “compliment” was: I’m so impressed that you keep
up even on the hills on that big bike. That big….Platypus.
🤣🤣🤣

But, I befriended another woman today. She had a white and teal Trek aluminum
road bike she named Betty. She loves Betty. “I know she’s not anything special;
she’s a basic entry-level bike, but I love her. I will never sell her, even if
I get a faster bike for triathlons.” My affections were won for both Kari and
her bike. I love a loved bike. Anyway, this bike was being carted to a
triathalon an hour away. She was carpooling with friends and their bikes. The
group was pulled over by a cop who told them a bike was dragging on the ground.
Her heart sunk, because her bike was the last loaded. And, sure enough. It cost
more to repair Betty than to purchase her and Kari has no regrets. You have to
respect that kind of devotion. But then things got REALLY interesting. She
said, “Your bike is a cool bike. The more I look at it, the more I see, and
it’s really cool.” I told her about Rivendell. Told her this is the most
comfortable bike imaginable - I never wear padded shorts. No clipless. I just
get on and ride. In fact, I like it SO much that I bought a second, and use it
to shop. She said, “That’s what I’ve been trying to do, but it’s so hard with
Betty! I can’t wear normal shoes and there’s nowhere to put my stuff! I want a
bike like that. I’m looking up Rivendell when I get home.”

And lo and behold, those new RoscoPlats are going on presale July 7th. I hope I
see her and can tell her before then.
