That's a hard one, since they all shine individually. The Appa with 650b wheels had a shorter wheelbase (45" for the 51cm) vs the Platy 700c (47" for the 55). The Appa felt more "planted" and stable (more like it was sure of itself), while he Platy has a bit more on the "fun" side, a little flexy perhaps and I love the step thru. If I were riding off road more, I'd prefer the Appa. Since my rides are nearly on road, the Platy is fantastic.
