Depends on what size tyre you will be using and whether you will be fitting mudguards, as not all V-brakes have the same length arms. On my Appaloosa, with mudguards fitted, The Deore XT 780 V-brakes I had just scrape the top of the front mudguard and can't be fitted on the back because they would interfere with the mudguard there.
