If anyone is stockpiling parts for a new Hunquapillar or just making
some spring adjustments to your current ride, I have identified some
items that are ebay bound unless someone here wants them first. All
prices include US shipping. I’ve priced things below what I think
they’ll likely fetch on ebay, so these prices are fairly firm. Check
or paypal.

Please contact me off the list at sprun...@cord.edu.

Phil Wood wheelset. $400. 36h. 700c. 135 mm rear OLD. Takes 8/9
speed cassette. No skewers or cassettes. Bontrager Fairlane silver
rims with asymmetric rear drilling. Nice cosmetics. I’m the second
owner of these wheels, but the original owner reported that he
purchased them from Rivendell in the pre-Rich days. They spin smooth
and true. The freehub is nice and quiet.

XTR M900 hubset. $135. Hard-to-find 36h version. NOS. 135 mm rear
OLD. Takes 8/9 speed cassette. Screened logos are a bit faded. No
skewers. Build some light and sturdy dream wheels. These are the
classic silver style hubs that Peter White raves about. (Side rant:
where are all the older XTR skewers? I’ve purchased three NOS sets of
these hubs over the last ten years and none have come with skewers.)

Phil Wood quick release axle kit. 135mm. $50. Here’s the axle and
spacers you need to convert a bolt-on hub to quick-release use or to
convert a narrower hub to 135mm OLD. Everything is in excellent
condition. This came off a 10-year-old cassette hub, but supposedly
it will fit a range of Phil hubs.

White Industries platform pedals. Silver. $190. These pedals are new
but without packaging. They’ve not been mounted in a crank. The
pedals are smooth and exquisitely made, but they’re not as wide as I
had hoped for my size 13 feet. I stood on them in the living room and
decided to stick with my Nuovo Wides instead. More info at
http://www.whiteind.com/pedal.html

Tioga Surefoot 8 pedals, silver. $55. This is the BMX pedal that
Rivendell used to sell. The blunt tips are already installed, but I’ll
include the spikes and the little installation wrench. Light and
smooth. Used about 25 miles.

Brooks B17 Champion Special. $100. Rare dark brown color. (not
honey). Silver rails. Ridden about 300 miles, so it’s not really
broken in yet. Leather has been treated. Tension screw never
touched. I’ll include used matching leather bar wrap that’s been cut
into four pieces (I had one piece wrapped up from the tips to the
brake and one from the stem down to the brake.)

WTB Dirt Drop bar. $80. This is the classic drop bar with the
aggressive flair in the drops. I bought this for a conversion that
didn’t happen because I decided that I preferred the more subtle Nitto
Dirt Drops that I got from Rivendell. Sleeve shows some scratches but
the cosmetics are good overall. Takes a 25.4 stem, such as the
Rivendell special edition Technomic Deluxe or the Periscopa.

WTB Slickasaurus tires. 26” x 1.5. Pair. $35. This is a nice set
of 26 inch slicks. They’ve been mounted but ridden less than 10
miles. Blackwalls. I have the 700c version on my Quickbeam, and
they’re a quiet and smooth-riding tire.

Panaracer Pasella 700x37 TG tire. Free for cost of shipping on 7# box
(or I’ll include them absolutely free with a larger item). Ridden
about 1000 miles on a front wheel. Still looks pretty good. Tan
wall.
