Scott,

Congrats to you and daughter on the new build. E has outgrown her 20" and
we're in the market for something. Just borrowed a 24" K2 MTB and I don't
think I can bear to see her ride it. Overbuilt and ugly. What size frame is
the LHT and how does it fit you daughter? I like the LHT a lot, but think my
wife is probably next in line for one of those. What I really want is a
sweet urban steel skinny-tube bike with 24" wheels, but such an animal is as
rare as hen's teeth.
ps - you know, if you spend your money on bikes, you won't be able to afford
to move away from Portland :-)

Cloth tape: better looking by far, and last longer, especially shellacked. I
hear it can be padded underneath - never tried it. I figure if I need
padding, I wear gloves.

MJ - great to run into you on the Springwater. I got caught in one of those
showers between Eagle Creek & Estacada. Left my water bottle on the counter
so pretty thirsty when i got to the b-day party. fueled on cake and home on
Springwater (road). Ended up being a near perfect 100K. Route here:

I'm iffy on the 400 next weekend. Got worked yesterday by riding a different
bike/saddle and pretty sore today, including knee. May do the Ride Around
Clark County instead.
