I think the larges should be fine for 8"; I'm on the lower end of the large
range, and I didn't notice any stretch at all.

I'll wait on a price until I find a set, but probably like $15+shipping,
depending on condition/cosmetics? I'll follow up offlist once I do the box
dive to see if I can find any - probably sometime tomorrow. I just got a
pair of Mavic touring rims in from the UK this evening, and first priority
is to swap the spokes/generator hub over from the front wheel I dented in
the crash that totaled my Raleigh International just before Xmas. I've been
crippled without a functional generator light setup, and I have to hustle
it to my LBS so the wheelbuilder can true it up ASAP for truing-standless
me.

Who would have imagined that one of the consequences of a worldwide plague
was that duffer riders can't build their own generator wheels, because the
bike kitchens are all closed?

Peter Adler
who's recently re-located several long-missing bits, including the Huret
suicide lever that gave me a roadmap to reassemble GP's derailleur, which
came back to him from some dude in Australia assembled wrong; so maybe I'm
on a lucky streak for finding stuff in
