Dave that's a 45T anodized chain ring I bought from Porkchop bmx for around 25 bucks.
Its been working very well so for for around 300 miles or so. Collin I'm a fellow old guy with a few years ahead of your Dad. I'll give a shout out if I see a vintage 520 ride by. It could happen.
