Thinking about this $3200 Clem H......Is that way way way too much to ask
for this bike? The frame itself was, what, $800? With tax, call it
$880. Seems like if you add up all the parts, bike trinkets, etc.. this
person probably poured about $3500 total for what looks to be a labour of
(possibly misplaced) love? Coupled with the fact that the Clem H might
never make a comeback (though I hear that we might have a Return Of The H
advocate in the upper reaches of management at RBW), I think $3200 seems
almost fair. Plus, does anybody ever pay full price on Craigslist? Of
course, I always end up paying full price and always end up taking the
first offer I get, no matter how low it may be, because I have absolutely
ZERO negotiating skills. So I'm thinking the final price here will be
$2750, depending on the patience/desperation level of the seller.
Definitely not the most elegant build I've seen, and not sure it's the
buildout that was intended for old ClemH, but it definitely seems like
somebody knew what they wanted, and poured some hard-earned cash into it.
Would love to know how much this one fetches.
