Thanks. Some interesting bikes. I've hated wide bars since I got my first mountain bike in 1989 and swapped out the nice Nittos for what was known back then as a French "tourist" bar. I've tried wide bars, straight, curved, and drop, and always go back to narrow. 54 cm is comfortable, tho' I'd not want anything narrower for reasons of handling and control. The "wide" drop bar on my dirt road bike is 44 cm at the center of the hooks, 42 cm on the ramps, and that's 4 cm wider than my road drop bars. I ride a 60 c-c frame, old style, so I'm not petit.
