Looking at the photos again -- my daughter took them, who has both an
aesthetic eye and a photographic competence that I lack -- the background
seems almost "English-cottage-ly" lush. Not quite; end of dry season,
xeriscaped yard; only, trumpet vine thrives even here in the glaring sun
and 100* temps.
