If the sound is coming from the rear it's probably coming from the spring loaded pawls in cassette body rubbing against the ratchets when you coast. From what I've read, Bitex uses 6 pawls; many manufacturers have only three. The noise varies all over the place. Shimano hubs are almost silent. DT used to make one that was so loud that it sounded like a machine gun - you could hear it a block away.
