Shoji - I want to believe the mindset of leaving well enough alone is possible, but I think it will be a fight! Has anyone dialed in a bike and then left it alone from that day forward? I have been thinking about you lately, wondering how it’s going with your hip. My left knee bothers me (no diagnosis yet since I was going to make an appt at the time COVID hit), and it’s made worse when I push really hard on hills. I’m hoping these wheels take some of the strain out, though the challenge has been good for my quads. Andy - am I reading it right that this girl has a Riv on her post-grad agenda? Which one will she get? Yes, I’m so tired of having my light taking up space on my bars (I’ve got way too much stuff on them but have declared all of it essential), and wondering if it’s low and needs charging. I have no way of knowing when the battery is low, but it does flicker when the end is near, which always stresses me out. Enough of that, welcome, dyno. Thanks, Rusty! I love the look! I am going to ask Analog to make the wheels for my mixte, too, just have to decide what look we’re going for. I’ll show the mechanics if they seem at all uncertain. Today’s the day I drop off the bike. The area in which I live has slim pickings for bike shops. My favorite closed its doors without warning several months back. REI installed my fenders wrong and caused damage to a bike I hired them to pack, plus they’re closed due to COVID. One remaining shop has a 2 week wait before they can take you. I called 2 shops deeper into the City and both were swamped as well. The first took my name and put me on a wait list. He said he cannot fit one more bike in his shop and that after he takes the bike, it will be another 2 week wait. I left my name a week ago, and I’m still on the wait list. I called yet another and they told me they stopped taking bikes and closed shop for 2 business days just to catch up on the work they already had. He told me to come by when my wheels arrive, but I don’t know how long his line is. I’ll find out today. I have the cast-off 52 cm Clem H in the garage, so I won’t be totally Riv-less, but it will be an adjustment for me.
