It's good, but something never seen before in your usual bike club, so it is in the league of the Souwester hat, which I wish I could use sometimes. It has the potential to be made very cheaply, but this one is made really well. The fabric is some high-tech windproof laminate, a ripstop front and a knit back, and substantial enough that it will last forever and not blow away in a gusty side wind when tied in, weightless and flexible enough it can be donned or stuffed into jersey pockets or any saddlebag, with much room to spare, in a flash, and is a brightly colored fluorescent for visibility on narrow mountain descents and into the wind in the teeth of a dull mist. It will not need service.
I'm a guy that starting bringing a sheet of newsprint to stuff under his jersey for the ride back to Yakima after climbing Chinook pass, remembering that the club guys told me that's what the riders of the TdF do, once they've read their position in the race, before the descent of mountain stages, but this thing will last longer, and be easier to put on and take off. And they used to throw the newsprint out onto the roadside when they were down, which I would never do. This is something I can keep in a pocket of my saddlebag for the descent of Mount Lemmon or some pass in the future. Because I can't use it right now! I want to, but the weather here is at it's tipping point, meaning that it is "perfect" (I like storms, hence the air quotes) and about to tip into a very very dry and lethal hot period here, well, maybe not for a few weeks yet. Still, all I can offer is my first opinion, no pix or experiences yet. -- Bill Gibson, whose Large Rivendell Pennant Flag is in the bike shop in my "garage", and whose small Rivendell Pennant is in the 1984 VW Campervanagon, driven every once in awhile, so you judge how much my opinion is worth...I like my Glo-Gloves, too.
