So... that's all I was noodling on. I couldn't rationally explain the extra $2500 I spent, but I just knew that I couldn't be happier having done it. OK, time to stop typing and go out riding.
Hell, you got off lightly. I've had 3 customs and I ride 4K miles in a good year (usually closer to 3K). But, as I was telling my brother just this morning, I drive a 20 year old van (2K miles since the beginning of November) and dammit, if i want to spend $$ on ego-bolstering bike stuff, I will!
