Leah, it strikes me that what you're going for is what bikies call "a strandie". Which is a rather loose description, but basically boils down to a Cruiser with tall or wide & tall handlebars. It's a common term in different coastal regions, but regionally the execution is a big different. Most of the ones I've seen on the Gulf Coast (Galveston, New Orleans) have high rise stingray handlebars, while on the West coast they seem to go for wide long bars with ends that poke up in the air. Type Strandie in Google and you get a hodgepodge.
