There are shifter bosses on both sides of the headtube. It is a drop bar
bike. Downtube shifters are a little to far to reach for me these days, I
don't really like bar end shifters, stem shifters seem a little high and
the shifter cables never look right when they are long enough to allow
turning, so I had them put on the headtube. They will be close enough to
reach and will have very short cables that do not turn with the handlebars.

This is an old fat man's road bike, sort of in the 60s - 70s "racing"
style. No racks or fenders or kickstand or eyelets. Rene Herse center
pulls. But with 48mm tires and a long wheelbase and the drop bars are
mounted high. Just for riding for the fun of riding. I have handlebar bags
and seat bags (in tweed) if I need to carry anything on event rides -
centuries or?

It might show up as the same time as the Gus Boots Willsen. Now that's a
high quality problem - which one do I work on....
