One of your goals ought to be to continue your very entertaining ride/family/bike posts. As for tracking miles, instead of many computers for many bikes, I use the free version of Cyclemeter for the iPhone (proud to announce that my iPhone 5S is still going strong, after I discovered that removing handsful of pocket lint from the charging socket allows you to -- charge the phone). I keep an Excel spreadsheet that breaks out all of my bikes, but since I'd be doing something like this anyway even if I did use computers for all bikes, this is not a burden. I copy the spreadsheet from year to year, so it doesn't have to be re-created every 12 months.
