Hey Jonathan! The first is a Surly Big Fat Dummy, which I got used earlier this month. (Its pretty much the stock 26 version here <https://surlybikes.com/bikes/big_fat_dummy>, with an upgrade to lighter tires.) It is my first foray into fatbiking, and has been a very interesting learning experience. I got it as an upgrade to my Xtracycle Free Radical, which was a bit too wobbly under even a modest load for me. What's it like to ride? Its actually super smooth and handles pretty normal. But you definitely are reminded of the weight on the hills. Most importantly for me, it is stiff and handles a load well. So far the most I've carried is around 60lbs, and it handled it like a champ.
The second is a Steve Potts Trail Bike <http://monkeywrenchcycles.com/steve-potts-trail-bike-the-prototype/>, Mk II. The new version is like the one he took to NAHBS 2019, featured here <https://bikepacking.com/news/nahbs-bikepacking-bikes-2019/>, which has changes to the headset, disc tab, and rack braze ons. I'll take delivery hopefully at the end of the month! PM if you're interested in the build list. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
