More spreading of the gospel:

For those of you who aren't members of the Adventure Cycling
Association (some of us remember them as Bikecentennial), I'm pleased
to report that they featured rough riding, and the Rough Riders Rally
in particular, in their February issue. You can read a scan of it on
our blog at this link:

http://www.xo-1.org/2010/03/rough-riding-in-adventure-cyclist.html

We're up to 42 of a possible 100 entrants in the Rally. Rivendell
bikes on the roster include a Bleriot, an Atlantis, and a Bombadil,
plus some distant cousins (Bridgestone MB-1s and MB-2s). Those bikes
have people entered with them, too! ;-) Former Rivendell employee Gary
Boulanger will be participating with his Gaansari Whirlwind. Two bike
company owners who are registered include Megan Dean of Moth Attack!
and Sean Virnig of Rawland. Sky Boyer of Velo Cult in San Diego will
ride his Nobilette Rene Herse prototype (650B and demountable).
Charlie Kelly, the co-founder of the sport of mountain biking, will
also be participating! Here's the roster:

BTW, I will be inviting all of you on a pre-ride of the Saturday route
for the July 23-25 Rough Riders Rally some time in May. I'll post the
details once I confirm my travel schedule. I hope many of you can join
me!
