Hi all. New member here. I thought I'd share my thoughts on a 64cm Clem L
that I got last night. I also have a 62cm Appaloosa. The Clem L is a
trip! The frame flexes noticeably compared to the Appaloosa (which I
suppose some might view as a negative), but it's just *crazy* how smooth
the ride is over bumps. Seriously, small to medium sized bumps just don't
exist anymore. No hyperbole here, it makes the Appaloosa feel harsh in
comparison, and that bike is like a sofa compared to most bikes. I took it
for a ride last night over a trail that has a lot of raised tree roots and
bumps, and the bike just cruised over stuff that would have beat me up on
the Appaloosa. It's like riding a steam roller! It has to be due to frame
flex (and maybe the longer wheelbase) because I'm running equivalent tires,
bars and saddles on both bikes. Yet despite all the gooshiness, it seems
to accelerate at least as well as the Appaloosa, although I'll put that to
the test this weekend. Amazing. It's just a blast to ride...pure fun!

For touring or longer distance road riding, the Appaloosa would be my first
choice and I'm not going to give it up, but for blasting around for fun,
the Clem L is fantastic and I'm glad I got it. My only regret is getting
green instead of blue!
