Patrick, tire clearance for my briefly owned Roadeo was maxed out at 35mm (fenderless) with a couple of mm between tire and chain stay. Depending on rim/tire selection 37mm might be achievable.
Agree with what others have said about the much admired Ram being the one to be revived. First and only time I saw an orange one I was smitten by everything about it.
