Hey, that’s my neck of the woods! If you are going to be staying in Boulder city, you really need to check out the hikes in that area. How fit are you? Goldstrike Hot Springs is an amazing, not to be missed hike. It is very challenging and there is some rock scrambling so you have to be in shape to do it. I, myself, couldn’t have done it alone, and needed a boost over several boulders on the way. If you want something easier, you can bike the wetlands in Henderson. Also, someone mentioned Valley of fire, and he is absolutely right. That will be about an hour’s drive north for you, but you’ll never see anything like it again. If you want to hike in Summerlin, a nice community near Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is the place for you. Also, tons of people ride bikes out there, but I think mostly on the roads which has never been my thing. This should whet your appetite! Let us know what you decide to do!
