I agree. I’ve had a bunch of bikes since I’ve been conscious of chainstay 
length and I don’t think I could attribute a certain feeling directly to that 
part of a frame with all the other variables. Maybe a super short chainstay 
compared to a Clem or something. We’ve had 2 sams, a new and old Atlantis, a 
Clem and a mountain mixte (along with a bunch of vintage bikes) Can’t say that 
chainstay length ever popped in my mind as a pro or con on any of those bikes. 
Some had pros and some had cons, but chainstay length wasn’t in the top 10 
variables.
